What is the non-destructive testing of seamless cs pipe?

Nondestructive testing, referred to as NDT, is a modern testing technology that detects the shape, position, size and development trend of internal or external defects without damaging the object being tested. It has been widely used in steel pipe production in recent years. The nondestructive testing methods used in the production of seamless CS pipes include ultrasonic testing, magnetic powder wear, eddy current testing, penetration testing, radiographic testing, magnetic flux leakage testing, etc. Each testing method has a certain scope of application.

Requirements for nondestructive testing of seamless CS pipes:

Seamless steel pipes should be straight pipes, with bending filling less than 2mm/m, the total length of the steel pipe should be less than 15mm, the pipe ends should be flat, and the burrs should be less than 0.5mm. There are no serious protrusions on the outer surface, and the protrusion height is less than 0.5mm.

Nondestructive testing is a faster testing method. Seamless CS pipes of various specifications can be used. It can detect various defects of pipes in a short time, which brings great convenience to steel pipe production.
