Seamless steel pipe grade and material

Seamless steel pipe is a steel pipe that is perforated by a whole round steel without welds on the surface. There are many classifications of grades and materials.

In terms of grades, seamless steel pipes can be divided into different grades according to the inner and outer diameters, wall thicknesses and other dimensions of the steel pipes as well as their uses. Taking use as an example, seamless steel pipes can be divided into two categories: general use and special use. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are mainly used for water and gas pipelines, structural parts, mechanical parts, etc., while special-purpose seamless steel pipes include seamless steel pipes for boilers, seamless steel pipes for chemical and electric power, seamless steel pipes for geology and Seamless pipes for petroleum and many other types.

In terms of quality level, seamless steel pipes can also be divided into multiple grades. For example, seamless steel pipes for high-, medium-, and low-pressure boilers are divided into quality grades A, B, and C; seamless steel pipes for high-pressure fertilizer equipment are divided into quality grades A and B; petroleum cracking seamless steel pipes are also divided into quality grades A, B, and B. There are three quality levels: A, B, and C.

In terms of materials, seamless steel pipes are made of ordinary and high-quality carbon structural steel (such as Q215-A ~ Q275-A and 10 ~ 50 steel), low alloy steel (such as 09MnV, 16Mn, etc.), alloy steel, stainless steel Acid-resistant steel, etc. Seamless steel pipes are carefully drawn or cold-rolled from high-precision steel, so their material has an important impact on the performance and quality of the steel pipe.
