What are the common materials for spiral steel pipes?

Spiral welded steel pipes can be classified according to material classification: carbon steel spiral steel pipes, low alloy steel pipes and pipeline steels.

1. Carbon steel spiral steel pipe

Common materials include Q235B, Q235C, Q235D, etc. Among them, Q235B is currently the most commonly used material and is often used in low-pressure fluid transportation, piling and other fields.

Q235B spiral steel pipe is our most commonly used spiral steel pipe, often used in oil and gas pipelines, water pipelines, sewage projects, piling projects, steel supports, etc.

There are two commonly used standards for Q235B spiral steel pipe, one is the national standard GB/T9711-2011, and the other is SY/T5037 spiral steel pipe for low-pressure fluid transportation. The prices of the two standards of steel pipes are different, and their applications are also different.

2. Low alloy spiral steel pipe

Including Q355B, Q355C, Q355D, Q345E, Q390B, Q390C, etc.

Among them, Q355B is the most commonly used material. This material is also called 16Mn in seamless steel pipes. Their compositions are similar, but they have different names for plates and pipes.

3.Pipeline steel

Commonly used to transport oil, natural gas, etc. The main brands include L245, L290, L320, L390 and so on.
