What is Plastic Lined Steel Pipe?

Plastic-lined steel pipes use galvanized seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes as base pipes. After removing the welding bars on the inner wall, they are lined with food-grade polyethylene (PE) pipes of the same diameter as the galvanized pipe, and are finally shaped after being pressurized and heated for a certain period of time. It is an upgraded product of traditional galvanized pipe.

Performance characteristics of plastic lined steel pipe

1. The zinc coating is thick, has fine, uniform crystallization and no pores, and has good corrosion resistance.

2. The zinc layer obtained by electroplating is relatively pure, corrodes slowly in acid, alkali and other mist, and can effectively protect the steel matrix.

3. Because the zinc coating has good ductility, it can be cold punched, rolled, bent and other forming without damaging the coating.

The difference between plastic lined and steel-plastic composite pipes

1. Different base materials: Steel-plastic composite pipes use steel pipes as the base material. After coating, they retain the characteristics of steel pipes and have pressure and impact resistance; plastic-lined steel pipes are made of steel pipes and plastic pipes connected and pressed under high pressure, which is safe and hygienic. .

2. Different installations: Plastic-lined steel pipes usually adopt a ring-pressing connection method, which requires the use of intermediate structural parts for installation. Steel-plastic composite pipes generally adopt two forms when installing or connecting, one is threaded connection, and the other is directly welded by flange.
