DIN 2391 ST52 Cold Drawn Seamless Steel Tube
DIN 2391 is a German industrial standard for the production and use of high-precision cold-drawn seamless steel tubes. ST52 is one of the high-strength low-alloy structural steel grades with excellent mechanical properties and machinability.
Manufacturing process
Process steps | Description |
Hot rolling | Make tube blanks |
Pickling | Remove surface oxide scale |
Cold drawing/cold rolling | Fine machining to achieve required dimensional accuracy and surface quality |
Heat treatment | Anneal or normalize to improve organizational properties as required |
Finishing | Straightening, cutting, surface treatment to ensure the quality of finished products |
Material chemical composition (%)

Purchase and precautions
When purchasing, pay attention to:
● Standard certification: Ensure compliance with DIN2391 standards.
● Specification parameters: Confirm the outer diameter, wall thickness and length according to actual needs.
● Surface state: Pipes without scratches and rust are preferred.
● Heat treatment state: Select the appropriate delivery state (such as annealing, normalizing) according to the usage scenario.
