How to store galvanized pipes in summer
The weather is hot and humid in summer. Under this condition, the surface of galvanized products is prone to alkali resistance (commonly known as white rust). If the plated parts are not picked up and unpacked in time after arriving at the destination, it is easy to produce alkali resistance, so as to avoid irresistible losses. The service life of galvanized pipes is generally 8-12 years, with an average service life of 10 years. The service life can be extended in a dry environment.
Key points for storing galvanized steel pipes
1. When stacking, there should be no condensation and heat on the surface of galvanized steel pipes.
2. The warehouse should maintain air circulation, and the moisture content in the air should not be within the range of 60~95%.
3. It cannot be stacked in places with harmful gases and dust.
4. Apply oil, passivation or organic coating on the surface of the galvanized layer.
Treatment methods for galvanized steel pipes in water
1. If it encounters water, the whole pipe should be disassembled immediately and placed in a ventilated place to dry.
2. If there are slight white rust spots on the surface, it should be disassembled and dried immediately, and wiped in time until the white rust turns into powder. The covering spray adopts hot-dip galvanizing and manual self-spraying paint, which does not affect the anti-rust effect.
