What is the hardness of 316L pipe?
The hardness of 316L is ≤187HB. The hardness of 316L stainless steel is not high, much better than 304. The high hardness is mainly due to the high carbon content. The C of 316L is ≤0.03.
316L stainless steel is also called acid-resistant steel. It has better corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel and has very good corrosion resistance. Whether it corrodes depends on the concentration and temperature. Generally, high temperature and high concentration are corrosive.
