carbon steel round bar

Carbon steel round steel is a round metal material processed through rolling, drawing and other processes. Its main components are iron, carbon and other impurity elements. According to different carbon contents, carbon steel round steel can be divided into three types: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel.

1. Low carbon steel: The carbon content is between 0.05% and 0.30%, and has good weldability, plasticity and forgeability. It is easy to accept various processing such as forging, welding and cutting, and is often used to make chains, rivets, bolts, shafts, etc.

2. Medium carbon steel: The carbon content is between 0.30% and 0.60%, and it has certain strength, toughness and wear resistance. Its thermal processing and cutting performance are good, but its welding performance is poor. Medium carbon steel is the most widely used in various uses at medium strength levels. In addition to being a building material, it is also widely used in the manufacture of various mechanical parts.

3. High carbon steel: The carbon content is between 0.60% and 1.70%, which has extremely high strength and hardness. It can be hardened and tempered and is commonly used to make tools such as hammers, crowbars, cutting tools, etc.

In the manufacturing process of carbon steel round steel, it needs to go through multiple steps such as raw material cutting, smelting, continuous casting, hot rolling, and rolling. During the rolling process, parameters such as rolling speed, temperature and rolling force also need to be controlled based on factors such as product requirements and usage environment to obtain round steel that meets the requirements.
