Z-shaped steel

Z-shaped steel is a common cold-formed thin-walled steel with a "Z" shaped cross-section. Section size and thickness can be adjusted and customized according to engineering needs and design requirements.

Main features and advantages

1. Z-shaped cross-section: The cross-section shape of Z-shaped steel is Z-shaped, with two parallel flanges and a vertical web, giving it good bending resistance and load-bearing capacity.

2. Lightweight and high strength: Z-shaped steel is usually made of high-quality steel, has high strength and stiffness, and is relatively light in weight. It is suitable for structures with high load-bearing requirements but light weight requirements.

3. Smooth surface: The surface of Z-shaped steel is usually hot-rolled or cold-bent. The surface is smooth and flat, which can ensure a stable connection and facilitate construction and installation.

4. Easy to process: Z-shaped steel can be easily processed by cutting, bending, welding and other processing operations. It can be customized and processed according to actual needs, and is suitable for various engineering needs.

5. Various specifications: Z-shaped steel comes in a wide variety of specifications, and products of different sizes and thicknesses are usually selected according to actual needs to meet various engineering and construction requirements.

Z-shaped steel production method

Hot rolling production method

Hot rolling is a rolling process performed above the recrystallization temperature of steel. This method is mainly used to produce Z-shaped steel for structural use, especially those requiring larger size and load-bearing capacity. Hot-rolled Z-shaped steel usually has better toughness and welding performance.

Cold bending production method

Cold bending is a process in which steel is pressed into Z-shaped steel through a specific cold bending forming unit at room temperature. This method is suitable for producing Z-shaped steel with thinner wall thickness and smaller size, and is especially suitable for lightweight structures or making steel sheet piles.
