Steel Pipe Hot Expansion

Hot expansion in steel pipe processing is a process in which the steel pipe is heated and then expanded or expanded through internal pressure. This process is often used to manufacture Hot Expansion pipes to meet the needs of high temperature, high pressure or specific fluid conditions.

Steel Pipe Hot Expansion Purpose

1. Increase the inner diameter: Hot Expansion can expand the inner diameter of the steel pipe to accommodate larger diameter pipes or containers.

2. Reduce wall thickness: Hot Expansion can also reduce the wall thickness of steel pipes to reduce the weight of the pipe.

3. Improve material performance: Hot Expansion helps improve the internal lattice structure of the material and improve its heat resistance and pressure resistance.

Hot Expansion Process

1. Heating: The end of the steel pipe is heated to a high temperature, usually using induction heating, furnace heating or other heat treatment methods. The purpose of heating is to make the steel pipe more malleable and easier to expand.

2. Internal Pressure: Once the steel pipe reaches the appropriate temperature, force is exerted within the steel pipe through internal pressure (usually a gas or liquid), causing it to expand or expand.

3. Cooling: After the expansion is completed, the steel pipe is cooled to stabilize its shape and size.
