What is the production process of straight seam steel pipe into bent pipe?
Bend pipes are a very common component in pipeline construction, and one of the main materials for making bends is straight-seam steel pipes. Many people have questions about how to make bends from straight-seam steel pipes. So today Yangtze Steel will take you to know some relevant knowledge about straight seam steel pipes!
If you want to make straight seam steel pipes into bent pipes, you need to use matching molds. Of course, the mold used should be selected according to the processing technology.
Generally, there are two processes to choose from: one is the hot bending process and the other is the cold bending process. Hot bending requires controlling the temperature of the bent pipe. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the straight seam steel pipe can be bent. The cold bending process uses mechanical force to bend straight seam steel pipes directly at room temperature. The advantages and disadvantages of these two processes are different, so the performance of the bent pipes produced is also very different.
These two methods can be used to bend the cross-sections of various profiles. Most of the cross-sections of aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper and other metal profiles and pipes (spiral pipes, straight seam steel pipes, seamless pipes) can be bent.
