In the process of customizing stainless steel pipes, why are the minimum order requirements set?

First of all, unconventional pipes require customized mold production, and mold opening costs will occupy a certain amount of cost. If the order quantity is small, the customer may not only fail to make a profit, but may actually lose money.

Secondly, customizing steel strips is also a problem. The specifications and thickness of customized pipes usually need to be customized, so the manufacturer needs to customize the steel strip, both in terms of bandwidth and thickness. If the customer's demand is too small to meet the minimum finished steel coil quantity, the manufacturer will not accept the order; if there is any surplus of customized pipes made after receiving the order, it will become the manufacturer's inventory and there will be no other customer demand, which will be a problem for the manufacturer. It's a waste of cost.

Therefore, general pipe manufacturers have certain minimum order quantity requirements for customized pipes when meeting customer needs.
