Connection method of plastic coated composite steel pipe
Plastic-coated composite steel pipe is a pipe material commonly used to transport liquids and gases, and its connection method is crucial to the safety and stability of the pipeline. The connection methods of plastic-coated composite steel pipes mainly include welded connections, threaded connections and flange connections.
1. Welding connection: It is one of the most common connection methods for plastic-coated composite steel pipes. A strong connection is created by heating both ends of the pipe until they are molten and then merging them together. This connection method has the advantages of high connection strength and good sealing, and is suitable for pipelines transporting high-pressure liquids and gases. Welding connections require professional welding technology and equipment, are complex to operate, and cannot be disassembled. Once the connection is completed, it cannot be changed.
2. Threaded connection: It is a connection method commonly used for small-diameter plastic-coated composite steel pipes. A tight connection is created by machining corresponding threads on both ends of the pipe and then screwing them together. This connection method has the advantages of easy installation and disassembly, and is suitable for occasions where pipes need to be replaced frequently. The sealing performance of threaded connections is relatively poor and water or air leakage is prone to occur, so special attention is required when using them under high pressure or high temperature conditions.
3. Flange connection: suitable for large-diameter plastic-coated composite steel pipe connections. Flange connectors are required to connect plastic-coated composite steel pipes to other pipes. Before connection, the size and sealing of the flange connector need to be checked to ensure the firmness and reliability of the connection.
In practical applications, it is also necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as the material of the pipe, working environment and pressure, and select the most appropriate connection method to ensure the normal operation and use of plastic-coated composite steel pipes.
