Precautions when using hot-rolled flat steel

Hot-rolled flat steel is a type of steel that is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts, building structures, etc. When using hot-rolled flat steel, the following points need to be noted:

1. It is strictly forbidden to hit the surface with a hammer. The surface of hot-rolled flat steel cannot be hit or knocked, otherwise it will cause surface damage or deformation.

2. Prevent direct contact with carbon steel. Hot-rolled flat steel cannot be in direct contact with carbon steel brackets to prevent corrosion due to carburization and potential difference.

3. When hot-rolled flat steel passes through walls or floors, casings should be installed. The gap between the casing and the pipe should not be less than 10mm, and insulation should be filled in the gap. The insulation must not contain iron filings, rust, etc. The insulation is generally made of asbestos rope.

4. When loading and unloading hot-rolled flat steel, try to avoid direct contact with wire ropes, fasteners, etc., store it on a shelf, separate it from carbon steel components with wooden boards or rubber plates, and prepare hammers or wooden hammers and copper in advance. Hammer and other special tools.

5. The appearance should be checked before use. Do not use if there are cracks, scratches, bite marks, deformation and other defects.

Following these precautions can ensure the stability and safety of hot-rolled flat steel during use and improve the quality and life of the product. At the same time, some unnecessary losses and risks can be avoided.
