Environmental requirements of spiral steel pipes

Spiral steel pipes are widely used in various industrial fields, and their performance and life are affected by the surrounding environment. This article will discuss the requirements of spiral steel pipes on the surrounding environment, including temperature, humidity, cleanliness and stacking methods.

Spiral steel pipe’s requirements for the surrounding environment:

1. Temperature control: The temperature generally needs to be between minus 40 degrees and 70 degrees to ensure the insulation and flame retardant properties of the spiral steel pipe. Beyond this range, the functionality of the spiral steel pipe may be affected.

2. Humidity control: The humidity should be moderate and an environment that is too humid should be avoided to prevent the performance of the steel pipe from being affected by moisture.

3. Cleanliness: Keep the production environment dry and clean to avoid dust and pollutants from adversely affecting the welding quality and anti-corrosion performance of steel pipes.

4. Stacking requirements: During the stacking process of spiral steel pipes, it is necessary to follow the principles of classified stacking, safe stacking, and clean stacking to prevent damage to the steel pipes. At the same time, the site should be flat, spacious, and have a good drainage system to prevent water accumulation from causing corrosion and damage to steel pipes.
