What is strip steel?
Strip steel is a narrow and long steel plate produced by various steel rolling companies in order to meet the needs of industrial production of various metal or mechanical products in different industrial sectors. Strip steel, also known as steel strip, has a width within 1300mm, and the length varies slightly depending on the size of each roll.
Classification of strip steel
1. Classification by material:
Ordinary strip steel: Ordinary strip generally refers to ordinary carbon structural steel.
High-quality strip steel: The chemical composition and mechanical properties of high-quality strip steel are better than ordinary strip steel, and its tensile strength, yield point and ductility are all better.
2. Classification according to rolling process:
Hot-rolled strip steel: It is produced by high-temperature rolling and has the characteristics of high dimensional accuracy, good surface quality, and excellent mechanical properties.
Cold-rolled strip steel: It is rolled at low temperature and has higher dimensional accuracy and better surface quality. It is often used to manufacture products that require higher precision.
Packaging and fixing methods of strip steel
Generally speaking, the strip steel cannot directly contact the ground or the bottom of the container. It needs to be placed on the bottom and reinforced with wooden supports.
Strip steel is mainly used in the automotive industry, construction industry, machinery manufacturing, household appliances, etc. Strip steel has high strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low cost. It is suitable for the manufacturing of various metal or mechanical products and provides important support for industrial development.
