Today’s steel knowledge - galvanized sheet

Galvanized sheet refers to a steel sheet coated with a layer of zinc on the surface. Galvanizing is an economical and effective anti-rust method that is often used. About half of the world's zinc production is used in this process.

The appearance of galvanized sheet

1. The coating surface is flat and smooth, with no defects on the surface.

2. The thickness of the coating is uniform, and there will be no local uneven thickness or insufficient thickness.

3. The color of the coating is usually bright silver, but there are also galvanized sheets of different colors such as dark gray and yellow.

4. Due to different treatment methods in the coating process, the surface conditions are also different, such as ordinary zinc flowers, fine zinc flowers, flat zinc flowers, no zinc flowers, and phosphated surfaces.

Advantages of galvanized sheets

4. Excellent processing performance: Galvanized sheet has good processing performance and can be processed by various processing techniques such as bending, stamping, and shearing.

5. Strong welding performance: Galvanized sheet has strong welding performance and can make good connections with other materials.

6. Good plasticity and toughness: Galvanized sheets have good plasticity and toughness and can adapt to various shapes and deformation requirements while maintaining good mechanical properties.
