Recently, the world's first 650℃ high-efficiency ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generating unit—the Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant Phase IV project—officially entered the full-scale construction phase, with the first batch of concrete poured. As a key project at the forefront of industry technology, the core equipment of this unit utilizes high-end boiler drum steel plates developed and manufactured by Hebei Iron & Steel Group Wusteel Company, used in critical structural components such as the boiler.

The boiler drum is a core pressure-bearing component of a thermal power generating unit, and its material properties directly affect the unit's operational safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
