The China-Uzbekistan Steel Association Bilateral Exchange Meeting was Successfully Held in Shanghai.
On August 9th, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) and the Uzbek Metallurgical Association (UMA) held a bilateral exchange meeting in Shanghai. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as the association's operating model, industry development trends, and cooperation prospects, and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.

CISA Vice President Jiang Wei and Uzbek Metallurgical Association President Gulbahar delivered speeches respectively. Representatives from both sides engaged in constructive discussions on topics such as green and low-carbon development and international trade, reaching broad consensus.
Jiang Wei stated that the Chinese and Uzbek steel industries are highly complementary, and expressed his willingness to establish a regular exchange mechanism with Uzbekistan to jointly build a benchmark for green metallurgy in Central Asia. Gulbahar stated that Uzbekistan will learn from China's experience, build an information sharing platform, and promote the development of local enterprises.
During the meeting, Uzbek representatives highly praised the achievements of China's steel industry and expressed their hope for strengthened cooperation. After the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
