Pre-shipment inspection of multi-category steel orders: Carin conducts on-site inspection at the factory

Recently, a comprehensive order from Yangtze Steel Group—including H-beams, angle steels, C-channels, and steel pipes—is nearing completion. To strictly control shipment quality, Carin, the sales representative in charge of the project, visited the factory to conduct pre-shipment sampling, measurement, and inspection of the products.

The on-site inspection focused on the following areas:

Dimension Verification: Using a tape measure, we randomly sample the flange width of H-beams, the side lengths of angle steel, the web height of C-channels, and the outer diameter of steel pipes to ensure they match the specifications specified in the customer’s order;

Thickness Inspection: Using a vernier caliper (thickness gauge), we take multiple measurements of the wall thickness or web thickness of various products, ensuring all data falls within standard tolerance limits;

Carin has now completed the on-site inspection, and this batch of goods will proceed to the packaging and shipping stage as scheduled.
